Thanks for your comment. Regarding melting of glaciers and peaks, there already has been some patterns established, see this link for news on Nepal. Al Gore in his documentary had also showed pattern of melting of ice in North Pole. World can survive even without gasoline, but without water: NO WAY.

I guess every developing country is a playground of Int’l politics. We should learn to maximize what we have rather then spread our hand to them for pity.

Kathmandu water was never trusted since I was young, we always had boiled and filtered water.

My brother felt annoyed with the wee-hour schedule of water from the supply.

But I think the water is not potable without treatement.

Kathmandu ground water has high nitrite and ammonia by the way.
