Geese’s day out
Posted: October 4, 2007 Filed under: Let the picture speak 15 Comments »Recently I got my new camera, so I took my new baby out to see what’s its capable of. I went out to a local park hoping to click anything and everything that interests me. Guess what I found out, a lot of Geese and Ducks.

Today I have edited my post from yesterday. I didn’t like the idea of putting a slideshow of Geese’s pictures as a post. I felt, constant changing of pictures in the middle of the page was very distracting. Instead I have added html badge from flickr in the left center of my blog window. I have added few more pictures since yesterday, and I hope I can keep populating my flickr account in future.
great picture.. the “new” camera has done its job.. Keep it up bro..
Thanks bro,
I’m still novice, will have to work lot more harder before I get pictures closer to yours
great to see that you found a new baby- hobbies are good. and photography is so cooooool….
nice pic
is your cam Nikon?
My problem has been that I can’t continue on something for long time. However, just carrying your camera around and clicking anything shouldn’t be much problem. So Salik, I might have new hobby in making
Yes Keshav, it’s Nikon. But due to financial constraints I couldn’t get what Prof LOL suggested, so I had to settle for an inexpensive one.
These are great pictures, Prajwol.. You are so good at this hobby…. Keep it up…
This camera looks very good… At least takes better picture than mine… I am still opting for D40X, may be end of this year…
Prof. LOL
Thanks Prof.
I thought, 10 MP was extra on D40x, also very few other features than D40. I dont believe there will be much difference for me between 6 MP to 10 MP, especially with the type and purpose of my pictures. And those few additional features, which I doubt I would have ever used, I finally settled for D40. The price difference was almost $300.00 between them. That mattered the most for me this time.
This photograph is really nice. & Thanks for your comments on the facts presented on my blog ….
Wish you a very happy Dashain
Prajwol,
I was wondering looking at the quality of the pictures,it must be a SLR… And it is !
It’s no less than D40X… जे भए पनि एउटै परिबारको त रैछ नि! दाजु भाई भन्न मिल्ने।
I did not know, these two have so much difference in price. Here the D40X is bit cheaper (??). About 900 (US$) including two lenses (55mm and 200mm).
Prof.
Prof LOL,
I just checked prices (for camera’s with 18-55 mm lens kit)
D40 = $477, D40x = $649
I was wrong about about the $300 price difference, but it’s almost $200. I used that difference to get me 55-200 mm lens.
I suggest you to be more careful, because the price doesn’t end here. You need to buy some accessories too, like warranty, Camera Bag, SD cards, UV filter for lens etc. I bought those, I thought that’s pretty much the basic. But the list of accessories can go a long way. Perhaps Naked Nepali can shed more light on that.
Ajay,
Happy Dashain to you too. And, thanks for the compliment
khoi ta aru pics bro?
Nepali Akash,
I have uploaded some in my flickr account. However I made a small mistake, I uploaded my pictures without resizing them and flickr allows only 100 MB per month. So my quota for this month is already over. From next month I will be resizing them before uploading. Thanks for checking though
Hey Bro, sorry for delay.. been busy..
Without getting technical, Its the lens that you have to worry about..
Remember the two big brand Nikon and Canon lens are not interchangable…
Plz seek expert advice when getting your lens .. ’cause you don’t want to end up having few lens that covers the same distance..
Be prepared to spend a little more on your lens ..

PS: Welcome to the world or DSLR !!
Naked Nepali,
Thanks for the chip in bro
