365 days of blogging

Today my blog celebrates its maiden birthday. :P

I used to read other people but never thought of starting my own, thanks to my dull lifestyle in Lafayette I gave it a shot. I was grateful enough to get encouragements and suggestions from few of my friends to get me started. When I started, I had no idea what to write about. I knew blog is short of web log, just like online diary, but I wanted it to be more. So I really thought long and hard before posting for the very first time ( Read my very first post).

Now as I scan my very first post, I sense that I have digressed a lot, although I am still confident that sometime in future I will address all those objectives too. However I have fulfilled one of the objectives, I have been consistent in writing/updating my blog throughout the year (almost 6 post per month).

Besides improving my writing and analytical skills, blogging has helped me make new friends too. Not to forget, it also has helped me express better and be my companion whenever I require the most. I definitely know for sure what to do when I have time and something in my head. :D

Happy Blogging.

Happy Birthday “On the Journey” !!!

Congratulations and good wishes for future as well to its writer (Prajwol), from a blog friend (that you made during your one year of blogging). :D

Happy blogging and keep expressing your journey.

    Thanks Prof.

One more thing I found out is, though you write for yourself when people drop comments its very encouraging. I must say I dearly value your creative comments.

I must appreciate other people too for their comments. And I would also like to thank those who prefer to drop comments to me on phone, and those too who enjoy commenting मन मनै :D

Hey, It’s good to read that u celebrated a year of blogging. It;s good that you are still writing on that and for that occassion. Though i also celebrated a year of blogging, there was some point where I found blogging devoid of substance and without of any use. I did not even write anniversary post and now, I feel that I must have done something otherwise. Again, I have started blogging and waiting for another anniversary.
All the best for your Blogging Journey.

    Nepali Akash,

Happy Dashain to you too, keep those gorgeous picture coming in your sites.

    Nepalean,

Thanks for your wishes. I also like to wish http://www.dautari.org to flourish a long long way, it’s really a good cause that you guys have initiated.

    Basanta Ji,

Thank you, happy Dashain to you too.

    Keshav,

Thanks. K ho bro, you seem to run out of words while commenting, it’s getting shorter and shorter :)

    Chamatkaribaba,

Welcome to my blog, thanks for your wishes. Me writing the post on the anniversary of the blog was to help motivate myself to keep continuing :)

Sometimes it gets boring but sometimes it gets exciting, that’s part of life. But I feel if you go through a long lay over it’s hard to come back again. But, you already did that difficult part, you are back. You can always celebrate second yr and first year together in July 2008. :D

I like your name “Chamatkaribaba” :)

only 365 days ??… I expect to see you around for at least 36500 days.. I do really appreciate you sharing your journey with us.. Good luck.. :)

  10. Prajwol says:

Thanks NNepali Bro. However, I don’t think I will live for another 36500(minus 365) days :)

As far as I remember you were the first guy besides Anwesh to comment on my blog. It really was a nice Journey, hope we can keep it that way for a long time. :D

    Prajwol,

Thank you for valuing my creative (?) comments. :D

Although I read many blogs and notably few (including yours) regularly, I am not regular on commenting. I totally agree with your feeling “though you write for yourself when people drop comments its very encouraging”.

Its same for me and I guess for majority of bloggers. I am lucky that, at least I have two regular people commenting on my blog (Do I need to name another person? :D ).

I do not know why I am not much expressive when it comes to ideas. May be, that’s why I comment on few selective blogs (and not even regularly). If you do not see my comments next time on your posts, please assume that I am commenting मन मनै :D

Hahaha.. Does it look silly commenting about my habit of not commenting? :P But I am trying to be regular and prompt.

    Prof.

    Anonymous,

Previously I use to moderate the comments, I felt that any thing bad written is intrusion in my life, but not any more. I should be accountable for all the opinions that I provoke, so there is no moderation. So the comment was published before I could moderate. Shoot me an email stating which comment exactly you want to delete.

    Keshav,

It’s hard to believe you are running out of words. Man!!! you have such a gift of expression, it’s shame that you go for economy. And, who is Mr. Machoman, do you mean Macho Man? :D If so I’m not, I ‘m kind of lurey :)
This link will help you to install smiley’s in your site B)

    Prof,

Looks like you are picking up and I have started to slack. To tell you the truth with so many posts around and so many comments (when you participate), I have started enjoying it like I used to enjoy Instant Messaging once upon a time.

I have my regular blog stops too, and I stop in those to read because I can represent myself with their life too. No two persons are similar but with so many facets of life there is bound to be some similarities.

It’s not silly to comment about your commenting style, we have this blogsphere where we too think “मैले सोचे जस्तो हुने भए” :D

By the way good news for me, a Nepali family has invited me for Dashain dinner, so this Dashain I won’t be alone.

  13. Prajwol says:

    Keshav,

I am such a dumb, I got it now..I will delete both your’s and Anonymous comment. Sorry couldn’t pick it up earlier.
