Women & No

Ever seen how women prefer to have sleek electronic gadgets? The phones, laptops, ipod’s, etc that they have (or want) are very sophisticated and stylish. It won’t be wrong to say that they are very picky on electronics.

BUT, why do they always hate to spend time inside electronics stores compared to men. I have never understood it, nor it seems understandable; but it’s a fact that I love to spend time in electronics store while my wife doesn’t; even when she has cool taste on electronics. It’s not just us; I have seen this in almost all the couples that I know.

I can spend hours in an electronics store and my wife in a mall, but vice versa is not always true. I can be flexible with my hours at mall but not her (without a grump). It’s not just her; it’s true for almost all the girls I know.

“Why are you wasting your time looking at these electronic gadgets if you are not planning to buy it now?” That’s a typical question I get when I am in an electronics store. But I never understood why they keep on looking and trying on different shoes and dresses when they know that they are not buying them all? Equally baffling!!!!

I bet most women were shrewdly smiling hearing the news of Circuit City’s bankruptcy, that’s one less place for men to go now :)

Beer guff into reality?

Last time when Apple came up with a great concept of iPhone, I still had some more innovative ideas (on top of iPhone) on my dream smart-phone needs. It was one of my beer guff posts, check out this link to read what I desired on my cell phone.

I recently saw an ad for a smart phone which does not exactly have what I desire, but has many features as wild as my imagination. The smart-phone is called Pomegranate and it has features (on top of other regular smart-phone features) like: Projector, Global Language Translator, Coffee Brewer, Shaver, and Harmonica.

Pomegranate Phone

Still don’t believe me, check their official website and make sure you spend time to browse each features of the phone. Please be patient, the link will open in a new page and will take some time to load.

Ski no more

The first time I went for ski was in Minnesota in 2005, at the end of the day I had promised myself that it would be the last time I would ever go. Well, I broke my promise and went ski again yesterday in Pennsylvania. I made another promise yesterday; this would be the last time I would go ski again :)

Super Bowl XLIII

Steelers VS Cardinals

Today is the super bowl (NFL Football finale) game between Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals. I am eagerly waiting for the game to start at 6 PM, after all super bowl is the biggest day in America’s sporting culture. I don’t want to get into much details about the game, as people outside United States are less familiar with the game; or they wonder why it’s called Football when it’s played with hands (I still don’t understand that). Immediately after the game, the winning team boasts new caps and T shirts stating Super Bowl Champs. At first I was surprised how fast they print those, immediately after the game. Later I came to know that those winners gear are printed in advance for both teams. Same with the local newspaper.

There are two sets of boxes, the ones with eventual winners are opened after the game while the other boxes are never opened. I still don’t know what they do with those newspapers with incorrect news of the winner (perhaps send out for recycling), but this morning I came to know about those unopened boxes of T shirts and caps. Check out the video on the fate of those losers gear from MSNBC Network.

I was glad to know that those losers gear are not trashed but used for noble causes. Not champs in USA, but champs elsewhere :)
