Last Sunday was Super Bowl, an unofficial American Holiday, the finale of the American Football Season. Primarily because of the Super Bowl, I had no issues with the winter storm that preceded it. The Friday-Saturday’s winter storm brought over two feet of snow (Elkridge Maryland had over 3 feet), crippling life through out the State of Maryland and beyond. For me, it was a superb time to watch pre Super Bowl shows, without any compulsion to go out for a weekend “shopping”
I dug my car out of the snow, so did my neighbors. The Super Bowl went very well too, as my favored New Orleans Saints won the Vince Lombardi Trophy. All is well
Today (Wednesday, February 10, 2010); I am sitting at home again, like most of the people in the State of Maryland, and witnessing another snowfall of over a feet and the wind gusting up to 45 miles per hour. The State has already spent $60 million of it’s alloted budget for the snow removal, and there are no signs that the snow season is ending anytime soon. This winter season (to date), Baltimore is the most snowy city in the United States of America, which was never heard of before.
Following are the few pictures from the pre Super Bowl storm, all were taken around my neighborhood. I have no desire to go out to take pictures of today’s snow

Baltimore is the most snowy city in the United States of America…

Does that provide some kind of excuse?
Enjoy the snow!
“I dug my car out of the snow, so did my neighbors…” says it all. pictures are nice but life seems tough if you have to go out.
I just realized that we reside in the same state..
I love your pics and I love the improvement you have made to your site.. Keep it up bro..
Guess what, I slipped and fell on the snow and lost my digital camera that I had in my pocket.. It was at night so I didn’t realize that I had dropped it.. I had gotten out the car to see if the road ahead was clear to drive through when I fell….
The next day, I did go around taking pics of the snow with a borrowed Sony SLR but nothing much to report it except that I slipped and fell again almost breaking the camera …
I won’t be getting a SLR but I will get a camera with HD video … I think that is the way forward…
hello prajwol,
ah, what have i tumbled into? blog by someone i know… nice blog…read a few of your write ups, they are fun to read, with a sprinkle of humor….i’ll be visiting back for more….
it needs super-human endurance to update blog regularly, by that measure you are a superman, for stretching for four years….i gave up blogging two years back…it took a life out of me.
anyway, yours is a interesting blog….
@NabinKM: The excuse was no work for few days, but the pain of snow removal and other problems sucks
@ Deependra Ji: It’s tough with that amount of snow, especially in the city not is not used to it, hence ill prepared. But this doesn’t happen frequently, it was a record snow since 1800.
@Nepalism: So you went to Nepal in between? I agree to your comment in my previous post (DSLR 101), I would love to have a 18-105mm too
But, I am still not that big into video’s yet. Hopefully you will start posting stuffs to inspire me again
BTW, I hope the fall wasn’t bad
@Golay bro: I am surprised that you randomly landed on my blog; I should say glad more than surprised
Ya, I agree with you, it takes a toll on a person to keep the blog running. I try my best not to stay away from it for too long; at least a post in a month keeps the blog rolling. I guess, longer the gap is, more likely one would lose the charm of blogging.
Too bad you gave up blogging, I am always looking for similar minded bloggers to tag along
i didn’t randomly stumble into your blog, in fact i found it through your facebook. how i randomly found your facebook would be another story. one of those social networking madness.
anyway, if you are interested, you can visit my old blog, and endure the pain that i bestow upon readers.
