What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That’s not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.
We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.
We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that’s the burden of a year.

FYI: Phishing related to BOA
Posted: July 2, 2009 Filed under: Others 5 Comments »Check the picture below. It is a screen shot of an email I got couple of days ago. If you have a Bank of America (BOA) account, this might look familiar. Notice the email address of the sender, it’s a Phishing email. I nearly fell for it, especially when it looks exactly as BOA email (banners and logo). When I clicked on the link “Please Upgrade Your Information”, it threw me off as it asked for my BOA on-line ID, password, DOB, address, SSN, etc. If you get an email like this or any email asking about any information (related to BOA) first verify that at abuse@bankofamerica.com

Towards the future

While embarking on its third year journey, it still faces few tough challenges like: mood of Prajwol, time of Prajwol, creativity of Prajwol, and encouragement of readers/friends. While the latter two (especially the last one) can’t be doubted at all, On the Journey is still waiting on first two with profound optimism. Those first two are the sole reason for the recent limping of On the Journey, but hopefully the tide will turn soon.

1. BHAGAVAD-GITA As It Is by Swami Prabhupada
2. The Eliade guide to world religions by Mircea Eliade
3. A New Earth: Awakening of your life’s purpose by Eckhart Tolle
PS: I have got rid of my last post, the video was slowing my site.

I don’t want to push myself to write something just for the sake of writing. I hope this is a lean patch and will quickly go away, and I can get back to writing again.
Happy New Year 2008

365 days of blogging
Posted: October 14, 2007 Filed under: Others 15 Comments »Today my blog celebrates its maiden birthday.
I used to read other people but never thought of starting my own, thanks to my dull lifestyle in Lafayette I gave it a shot. I was grateful enough to get encouragements and suggestions from few of my friends to get me started. When I started, I had no idea what to write about. I knew blog is short of web log, just like online diary, but I wanted it to be more. So I really thought long and hard before posting for the very first time ( Read my very first post).
Now as I scan my very first post, I sense that I have digressed a lot, although I am still confident that sometime in future I will address all those objectives too. However I have fulfilled one of the objectives, I have been consistent in writing/updating my blog throughout the year (almost 6 post per month).
Besides improving my writing and analytical skills, blogging has helped me make new friends too. Not to forget, it also has helped me express better and be my companion whenever I require the most. I definitely know for sure what to do when I have time and something in my head.
Happy Blogging.
